The Omakoio of Pythagoras and the work of Nikolaos Margioris

The following article referring to Pythagoras and to the neo-Pythagorean philosopher Nikolaos Margioris, was published in January 2010 in the Greek magazine Yoga by Ilias Katsiambas, the student and collaborator of N. Margioris.

Nikolaos Margioris, the contemporary metaphysical master while he is writing the B’ Volume of his work Mystic Teaching of three volumes. It is noted that during the writing of his about 189 works – aside from some necessary exceptions – he did not use any bibliography because he wrote direct from inside him, in an “automatic” way, with the power, the knowledge and the Light of his soul about every subject matter that he analyzed.

Written by Ilias L. Katsiampas (*)

The word Omakoio is composite, by the omou (together) akoume (we hear). We hear a high exoteric, esoteric and spiritual teaching (om-akouein, we hear the OM, the perfect sound).
It was Pythagoras, the great Greek philosopher and mystic, who used the word Omakoeio or Omakoio for the first time in the 6th century before Christ, by establishing his homonym school in Croton of south Italy, the Great Greece of the time.
Pythagoras was a topmost spiritual figure (see the books “Pythagorean Arithmosophy” and “Occultism B’ Volume” of Nikolaos A. Margioris, Omakoio of Athens editions) of worldwide fame and value, with an immense and diachronic panhuman offer to almost all the branches of the art,  the science and the spirituality.
Eduard Syree, in his homonym work “The Great Mystics”, classifies Pythagoras among the 7 Great Mystics of the humanity, by embellishing the spiritual grandeur and the offer of the man.
When his mother went to the Oracle of Delphi to ask about her forthcoming birth, Pythia said to her:  “You will bring forth a son who will become useful in his time and in all the times of the humanity”.
Pythagoras was born in Samos and since he was still very young he chanced of many masters (Ermodamandas, Ferekidis, Ionian Philosophers), and initiations (Irea Mysteries) before he decided, at the age of about 22 years, to travel to the sister country, Egypt (see the book “Dravidians, the ancestors of the Greeks, Egyptians and Hindus” of N. Margioris as well as “Pharaos Akenaton and Toutaghamon”, Omakoio of Athens editions), in order to continue his initiation there. After his stay for 22 years, he managed to reach the last 7th grade of the Secretary of the Churches that rendered him co-equal and successor of the Archpriest of Egypt. After different adventures because of his captivity by the Persian king Kamvissis, and his stay in the cells for many years, he was called and he cured the wife of the king, with cost his freedom. Without delay, he returned to his country, Samos.
By his monumental knowledge and his manifold personal experiences he ran a great part of Greece and gradually he reformed or strengthened the most important ancient Greek mysteries among which were the Eleusinian, the Idaia, the Epidavrean, the Delphic mysteries, in which indeed he is considered to have offered the secret of the atomic energy with exceptionally simple means, by which the priests defended at least twice successfully against the invader Persians strafing them. He gave the means in order that the Oracles of Pythia can be infallible and for this purpose he trained priestess Theoclea who culminated and in the presence of some present priests and of Pythagoras who directed her, she foretold the gloomy future of Greece that was coming, of Pythagoras himself and of his coming incarnation as Word.
Even, when Pythagoras arrived to Eleusis and assisted as a high visitor in the holding of the Eleusinian Mysteries or the Holy Orgies of the Mother and the Daughter (Dimitra and Persefoni), he was called by the great Hierophant Nikokleas to take in his hands the monumental scepter of the Eleusinian, to continue the initiation he himself (Pythagoras) and to talk to the prospective supervisors (see Nikolaos Margiori’s book “Pharaos Akenaton and Toutaghamon, Omoakoio of Athens editions).
After his stay at Delphi for a biennium and by foreseeing the future, he left for the colonies of Great Greece that were flourishing at the time, and he chose among them to go to Croton, the most glorious and greatest state. There he appealed to the Parliament and asked for a permission in order to create his school. Soon he was accused for godlessness and corruption by some of rivals and enemies of his and he was found to apologize at the Court of the 1000 where for nearly two and half days of apology, he narrated to them his dream and what he wanted to do for Greece. Nearly all his enemies changed into his friends and enough of them became his students.
He created the first Open Coenobeum University – School in the World the similar of which never existed and it seems that will never exist in the future.
He gave it the name Omakoeio or Omakoio and in it his students lived, free or with their families at thousands, following the systematic cognitive and practical instruction he granted to them bounteously. It is about the unique enterprise of such an extensive open wholesale and popularized scientific initiation (exoteric, esoteric and spiritual) in the humanity.
After a hyper-decennial systematic study, all those who graduated got the right to establish relative schools in any place they wished to teach.
From where to start and where to finish and what to first mention about Pythagoras and his teachings? As if God descended to the earth and granted to the man all the wealth of the Wisdom, the Perfection, the Beauty, Truth.
He was a blessed of God. Everything started from Pythagoras. Before him nothing definite existed. He instantiated. He was the head.  We relied on him.
A new air of knowledge, truth, humanism and spirituality blew in his time and it contributed to the metamorphosis of many people who voluntarily came to go in the truths of the life. A new foundation was sed. The Greek race by the determinative contribution of Pythagoras and Socrates, Plato, Heraclitus, Anaximenis, Thales and of many others was found at its spiritual zenith.
For the first time in the humanity in the Omakoio took place the Scientific and the Theological teachings or the study of the Visible and the Invisible World. The Quaternary was delivered on which the Pythagoreans swore. It was the organ of the measurement and of the spread of the Worlds and the Beings. He discovered the gamut with the tones of the music, the monochord, the polychord, the harmony of the celestial spheres, the therapeutics, the astrology-astronomy (the teaching of the heliocentric theory), the physiognomy, the painting, the geoponics, the poetry, the blacksmithery, the orphrey, the drama, the comedy, the tragedy, the gymnastics, the dietetics etc.
Still, the today’s science, the mathematics, the geometry, the medicine, the theology and the philosophy derive from Pythagoras. His teachings are immense and the influence he exerted is maximal.
He is the first who possessed the secret of the Divine Existence for the oneness and the Monad. He declared secretly the Monotheism through the numbers. He became the spiritual father of the whole humanity.
He was the sun that came to enlighten the world, because behind him the Word came and the ways should have opened, in order that the world can understand the words of the Kingdom of the Heavens.
He was adorned with in-hearing, insight and an inimitable intuition but also with many more charismas. He achieved to unite the Sky and the Earth and to keep this union by him himself.
The Omakoio of Croton, by the mouth of Pythagoras, with thousands of boarder-students, had the time to solve the problems of all the people and of all the times. Because it gave us the bases and the line not only for all the sciences and the arts that burgeoned today and developed in multiple ways, but mainly for the spiritual reform of the man.
If his manifold work that substantially was the transformation of the man from inside into the psycho-pneumatic standards, had not been interrupted suddenly, the humanity would undoubtedly have got another more qualitative, more authentic and more substantial way of evolution than what it follows today. Near to the esoteric truth.
The spiritual lighthouse that for the first time (postdiluvian) lit up in the world in order to guide the mariners or the human souls, was unfortunately destroyed by the fire and the knife.
Kylonas (Occultism B’ Volume of N. Margioris, Omakoio magazine), a student who failed in the initial trials for the introduction in the Omakoio,  politician and demagogue, worked methodically and chthonic for many years in order to accuse and to break down all what Pythagoras created.
Finally, under special circumstances, he got there and along with some gathered and fanatic devotees of his, one night he burnt down the Omakoio and killed the more of the students and the counterparts of Pythagoras. It is said that he himself with his wife and some students escaped and lived for enough years more in Metapontio where he died.
It was his wife Theano who continued his work and who, for reasons of survival, resold many of the notes that she kept, to Plato who arrived to Metapontio for this purpose. Based on these notes Plato wrote the Platonic philosophy that is inseparable of man.
Some students of Pythagoras who survived escaped to Greece. Among them Lyssis who came to Thebes and became the master of Epaminondas, Archippos who was the next assistant and over-age master of Plato, Philolaos, Alkeo the doctor of the supervisors who taught Hippocrates and others.
Still the neopythagorism and the neoplatonism constituted the mediaeval mystical orders as much of Europe as of the East.
Pythagoras wanted to form a new society based on the esoteric truths and the eternal fixed invisible laws.
It seems that he managed that in the about 30 years that his Omakoio functioned. He engrafted the esoteric truth in the souls of his students, he made capable masters and he earned the admiration and the interest not only of the people of his time but also of every time…
May we have the force and the maturity to become at least his imitators for ourselves and for the society.

The work of Nikolaos Margioris and the Omakoios

In the synthetic and multidimensional theoretical and practical experiencing teaching line of the great and inimitable spirit of Pythagoras moved after 2.500 years Nikolaos A. Margioris, the contemporary Greek experiencing esoteric philosopher and christocentral initiate  (1913-1993).
Born in 1913 in Samos he travelled, stayed and was educated for many years in India, in Tibet and in Egypt from where he returned in Greece in 1958 and he settled in Athens.
During this time he chanced of important masters (Baba, Krino Andre Salvatore De Castro, of Greek orthodox patriarchs) while when he was about 13 years old he had his first accomplished spiritual experience (shamadi), which he describes in the epilogue of his book Raja Yoga. Many and often ascensions of liberating type followed by which he managed to ground important esoteric and spiritual knowledge, truths and… revelations in plenty of crucial human, esoteric and spiritual matters.
The most important of all in duration and in esoteric fullness was that of the nearly 30 days, the nirguna samadhi-theosis, during which not only he ran all the eso-depth of the Creation but he was able to approach to the Divine Side (Gnofos)... In his book Birth and Death of the Worlds, matter, antimatter, hypermatter, as well as in the Esoteric Philosophy and in the Posthumous Life, these cosmogonic, consummating and revelatory events-experiences are impressed
Also he had esoteric contacts with many great masters among whom we mention only indicatively Saint Patapios (according to Margioris he wrote the pseudepigraphica of Dionissios the Areopagite that were translated into Latin by Erighenas in 850 after Christ and transmitted the flame of the mysticism in Europe. Some details are impressed in his book Saint Patapios), Ramakrisna, Pythagoras and Elena Petrovna Blavatsky with whom he conversed often in his sleep and in his awake and whom he called “his mother”.
In 1972 he established the Association of Saint Patapios in Athens where unfailingly, till the end of his life, he gave free speeches, seminars, mounting of educational excursions etc.
In 1976, in honor of Pythagoras and the recreation of the Pythagorean views and practices he established the Omakoio of Athens, an educational and spiritual centre, in which he was disposed to give every possible philosophical and practical knowledge able to turn to advantage by the contemporary man. In 1990 he inaugurated the Omakoio of Lamia of his student Dimitris Tsaparas and in 1992 the Omakoio of trikala of his student Ilias Katsiambas. After his metastasis it was his assistant Smaro Kosmaoglou who undertook the Omakoio of Athens, while also many new Omakoios operated little by little.
As a Greek orthodox he also tried to explore the ties of the orthodox movement of the monasticism with the mysticism in the deserts of Egypt of the 3rd and the 4th century after Christ with the eastern metaphysical philosophy. Christoforos the B’, the blessed Patriarch of Alexandria, directed him to these philosophical searching, he put him to work for many years in the Libraries of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and of the monastery of Saint Catherine in the desert. Often he discussed for many hours with his student then, he honored him with his friendship and he awarded to him the cross of Saint Marcos for his offer to the Church and to the Patriarchate of Alexandria and of all Africa. The same happened also with Nikolaos the Sixth, the posterior blessed Patriarch.
Undoubtedly he was a rare in charismas, multi-talented and unprecedented in dynamism and production of work modern esoteric experiencing personality that stepped over the threshold of our country, by delivering the quintessence of his complete spiritual experiences.
In parallel with his multisided perennial teachings, from 1970 – 1993 he wrote and edited about 189 works of various order.
His writing work may be separated in books historical, prehistoric, ancient Greek and mystic, scientific, of an alternative therapeutics, of the systems and the practices of Yoga nd of the mysticism, occultism, esoteric theology and philosophy, desymbolism of the Greek mythology, meditation, ancient Greek massaging and ensleeping, scientific spiritualism, philosophy, of the astrology, initiation etcetera.
Among them it indicatively is worthy to note the Metaphysical Encyclopedia of Two Volumes, the Pythagorean Aithmosophy, the Eleusinian Mysteries, the Dravidians ancestors of the Greeks, Socrates, Minos, Hatha, Kriya, Karma and Raja Yoga, the Pharos Akenaton and Toutaghamon by the learning method of the Hieroglyphic Writing, the Chiroplastic Therapeutics Siatsu, the Psychotherapeutics, the Birth and the Death of the Worlds, the Posthumous Life, the Mystic Teaching, Patapios, the Christocentral Mysticism, the other side of Deniken’s dogma, the Light in the Darkness, and many others. (www.omakoio.gr).
Even, just 17 years after his physical end, many are the approved writers and students who took counsel and drew material of his writings repeatedly and who make a special mention for it in their bibliography. His articles and his books are already being translated into the English language.
The totality of his works bred, educated and grew a great part of the Greek society in the area of the free spiritual search, when in our country (Greece) there was still full ignorance and much… darkness and superstitions about every esoteric matter.
The teaching of N. Margioris consists mainly in the harmonious co-existence of the ancient Greek, Egyptian and Indian philosophic approaches with the inner Christian tradition, through the filter of his personal accomplishment. In parallel it offers complete personal answers with  unprecedented analysis on the Cosmogonic  – Ontological and in the Eschatological Matter, emanation of his own “secret life”.
The exoteric, esoteric and spiritual contribution of Nikolaos Margioris is summarized by and large in the following:
In his unprecedented writing work which includes:
34 books, 34 essays, 49 issues of the magazine Omakoio, 8 detailed branches of studies by correspondence course, with 10-11 lengthy upgrading treatises of lessons for every branch and an inexhaustible oral revelatory teaching, that, under presuppositions, suffices for the production of some thousands writings.
In the quantity and the richness of his pure mystic Experiences. A part of them is recorded in our writing “Esoteric and Mystic Experiences of Nikolaos A. Margioris”. The prominence of these experiences of him is depicted in his Nirguna-Shamadi-Theosis of 30 days, through his writings (see his works “Birth and Death of the Worlds and of the Beings” and “Esoteric Philosophy”) and his relevant revelatory teachings.
In the stratification of his Occultist experiences and the profound systematic metaphysical teachings-analysis as result of his own experiences and knowledge. Among them we record the studies he gave by correspondence course, theoretically and practically, to the following branches of the Esoterism:
Hypnotism – Orthopsychism: Full development, theoretical and practical, of three basic systems of hypnotism and epexegesis of many others as well as the provision of rare special details.
Scientific Spiritualism: Analysis of the presuppositions for a healthy, checked and serious contact with the invisible and plenty of relevant crucial details.
Esoteric Therapeutics: A unique writing of comparison and cohesion of the esoteric with the exoteric-scientific therapeutics, tsakras, endocrine glands, hormones, life, death, yoga, kundalini, soutratma, antaskarana end many others.
Astrology – Astrosophy: The karmic approach and particularly the rendering of the Revelatory Philosophy of the Astrology that absents from the relative writings.
Meditation: Full analysis of all the relevant matters and of particular appliances of the meditation that persists and is filled up with the books of Raja Yoga, Kriya Yoga, the secret of Hatha Yoga, Karma, Reincarnation and others.
Esoteric Initiation: How the initiation-knowledge took place in all the times (antediluvian and postdiluvian), what initiations exist and what they include and many others.
Esoteric Philosophy: A revelatory, analytical look of the Creation and insomuch of the attainable of the … Creator.
Desymbolism: Desymbolism and demystification of the Greek Mythology and many other relevant matters etcetera.
In the Public Presence of his upmost Revelatory Spiritual Dream for the layering of the Creation by the Divine Side (Gnofos) till the man.
Still, in the coalescence of the Occultism (Cabalism) and thr Mysticism (Theosis – Spirituality), that presents us a spiritually complete being that we call MYSTIC, namely grounder of the hyper-substantial truths of the Creation in the present world of the chronicity that has an expiration date.
In the close and radically anabatic presentation and esoteric psychophysiology of the important practical means (Meditation and Mysticism) that every man can use by right of his idiosyncrasy for the speeding of his evolution and the acquisition of a healthy, balanced and of high demands and distinction Mind, that will pull together perfectly with his transcendental identity – origin and will be activated to the utmost in our world for the healthy grounding of an existent Divine Plan.
In the virtual support of the world with KRIYA YOGA (method of psychosomatic therapeutics-training-harmony) that Nikolaos Margioris relived from the Shamadi he did for this purpose and hr brought it back in the daily use of man for the amelioration of his bodily and psychic health and the encounter of many contemporary problems of health. Its knowledge is impressed in his homonym writing.
In the study of RAJA and KUNDALINI YOGA that are taught systematically in nearly all his Schools as well as all the basic fundamental kinds of Yoga (Karma, Gnani, Bhakti, Mantram, Chilidish) in deep and extensive analysis and with the relevant noetic exercises. An important supporting reference book is the book “Raja Yoga, elevation of the mind from the conscience to the hyperconscience”.
Finally, in the bellwether system of Withdrawal and of ATTENNUATION that he himself invented and named Atmoliquefaction, without any mechanic means and medicines, which is based on the principles and the practices of Yoga, in exceptionally practical results.
In the REVIVAL from the antiquity of important light alternative therapeutic methods (Esoteric Therapeutics) among which the ancient Greek Asclepean massaging, the ancient Greek ensleeping (modern hypnotism), the magnetotherapy (today it is called bioenergy or/and Reiki), suggestion and others.
Also, in the INVENTION and the use of light physiotherapeutic means, like the Fingertapping, the glossotherapeutics, the transfusion of energy, the bio-energizing influence on the tsakras (centers of power) etcetera and finally, in the systematization and in the classification – grouping of the Japanese Therapeutics Siatsu (Fingertapping) for the treatment of 186 affections, in the Static and Kinetic Therapeutics, in the Reflexology, in the Iconoplastic Therapeutics, in the ectoplasmatic effusions and many others.
In the exposition of important part of the occult history of man, antediluvian and postdiluvian.
In the esoteric explanation of the Eleusinian Mysteries of ancient Greece, of the Asculapea and Amfiaraea, of the Trofonio Antro, of the Egyptian Initiation and of many forgotten now knowledge the remnants of which have reached our days (oil lamps of Alantin type, precious stones, the curse of Faro, Sphinx, Pyramids, mummies, travels in the space… etcetera). Also, in the exoteric explanation of the Greek firewalkers (Anastenarides)  and of the whole phenomenon.
In the today’s contact of scientists and metaphysicians being the result of the contemporary discoveries of the science that rely on and assert the age-long experiencing tradition and its views. It is recorded among others in his book Three-dimensional and Four-dimensional World.
In the matter of the extraterrestrial with many details and analysis that concern them and concern… us in affined themes that may have a character of urgency.
In the dispersion of many revelatory esoteric pearls that may, if they are gathered and appreciated rightly, come out profitable for the progressive science and the directions of the discoveries where it shall come around with greater dynamics and effectiveness. Among them is the affair of the antimatter and of the hypermatter, of the Supernova, of the Argon element, of the parallel universes, of the black holes, of the neutrinos etcetera.
In the deep radiogram and the extensive analysis of the esoteric and mainly of the mystic experiences and of the separate ascension (based on their idiosyncrasy and their psychic evolution) that many children of the Humanity had, among whom:
Hermes the Three-maximal, Akenaton, Pythagoras, Plato, Ammonios Sakkas, Plotinos, Moses, Ramakrisna, Vivekananda, Apostle Pavlos, Apostle Ioannis, Adamandios Orighenis the Christian, Theofilos Kairis, Grigorios Sinaitis, Grigorios Palamas (about the Unbuilt Light), Kosmas the Aetolian, Saint Patapios, Sain Germen (Saint German), Alexandros Kalliostro, Parakelsos, Doctor Papys (Zerard Ankos), Dalai Lama and others.
In the clear experiential and defined distinction among the dream, the vision, the apperception, the psychometry, the inhearing, the insight, the intuition, the outbodying (subconscience), the hyperintellectual operation (hyperconscience), Shamadi with frame and Shamadi without frame (the Sanscrit terms are analyzed in the book “From the master’s mouth to the student’s ear, with a thorough glossary of sanscrit (400 words) for the students of Yoga”.
Also in the distinction and the full notional registry-analysis through the light of his accomplishment for nearly every metaphysical terminology-meaning, except the others, in his writings “Dark in the Light” and mainly the “Metaphysical Encyclopedia of Two volumes” and in the 49 issues of his magazine “Omakoio” and finally in the analytical as well as revelatory book of 400 pages of his student llias Katsiabas “Profound Metaphysic Correspondence”.
In February 2009 Nikolaos Margioris emerged as the 60th among the 100 Great Greeks of all the times at an open vote that the television channel SKY carried out in April 2008. An edition of a book of three volumes followed with the analytical presentation of all the 100 Great Greeks as well as with DVDs.
And he was among the 100 Great Greeks because he contributed indeed in the formation, presentation and popularization of a contemporary Greek Metaphysical Philosophy based on a comparative analysis of the most important international philosophical considerations in this matter with respective Greek but also Christian ones. And he laid systematically his views about the theoretical and practical ways by which the modern Greeks can redefine their spiritual course and evolution in the contemporary new-Greek environment of corruption and of full social decomposition. This contribution of his is impressed in his 189 writings and in his multisided and valuable saved oral stores and teachings.
Relevant presentations – Extensive Dedications of his have come before in the magazine “Avaton”, September-October 2002 issue, where he appears as a christocentral mystic, in the magazine “Third Eye”, issue of December 1992, where he appears as Patriarch of the Greek Metaphysical Philosophy and issues of September 1993 and next of May 2004, also in the enthetic magazine “Phenomena” of the newspaper “Free Type”, in the magazine “Yoga”, issue of October 2008 and of January 2010, in sites, interviews, books of many other writers who have drawn material from his work, from the books of his students and from elsewhere.
He left behind him an immense and diachronic wealth of stocks (theoretical and practical) for study and exploitation. Even, for the saving, the preservation and the distinction of all this valuable material, the establishment of an ACADEMY for the study and the spread of his work is being contemplated by his students.
His philosophical and practical work is being continued by the Omakoios Schools that he established as well as by the newer Schools that were founded after his death all over Greece while his writings are being promoted by his natural heirs through the Omakoios. By his students and his representatives in parallel with the instructive work, the edition of newer books, based on his own oral stocks and teachings, is being continued.
Except the philosophical schools that he himself established: Omakoio of Athens, Omakoio of Lamia and Omakoio of Trikala afterwards also the following schools operated: Omakoio of Thessaloniki, Pythagorean Omakoio, Omakoio of Corinth-Loutraki, Omakoio of Comotini, Omakoio of Rhodes, Omakoio of Karditsa, Omakoio of Piraeus, Omakoio of Corfu and of Glyfada.
Additional details about the writing and the other work of N. Margioris exist in the www.omakoio.gr E-mail: omakoio@omakoio.gr or omakoio7@otenet.gr.
Also see two relevant interviews that his student and cooperator Ilias Katsiambas gave in the site of Esoterica.gr and that are put up in the following e-mail addresses:
